10 Tips to Overcome Challenges of Going Back to Nursing School

back to nursing school challengesIn 2011, I completed my BSN and went back to nursing school to earn my Masters in Nursing Education. The BSN program was difficult, but it definitely prepared me well for the MSN program. I have learned a great deal throughout the entire experience and for those considering continuing your education, I would like to offer some insights:

  1. Just do the next thing. People constantly asked me how in the world I was managing. I worked full-time and was a full-time student, and they wanted to know the key to perseverance. Plan, study, keep your head down, utilize every second and complete the task at hand. Most importantly, don’t look ahead, worry, and fret. It accomplishes nothing. Remember, this is only for a season, not forever.
