What to Stay Away From When Preparing for the NCLEX

What to Stay Away From When Preparing for the NCLEXIf you are preparing for your NCLEX exam, you have all the more reason to spend your time with your head in your books rather than on your normal daily leisurely activities. Here are some tips to follow that may help you achieve success on the NCLEX.

Electronic Gadgets

Maybe the most important tip of all; get rid of your gadgets. If you have a phone, iPod, iPad or laptop, you need to put them out of your reach. This will help you avoid any temptation of wanting to use them while you are reading and studying.

Social Media Accounts

Social sites are perhaps the biggest distraction you could turn to when studying. The worst part about it is that you will not even notice the time you are wasting. Avoiding social networks is not as easy as it sounds; in fact social networking is an addiction. There is always a time when you want to see what your friends have posted but then this will lead to a stream of comments, and before you know it a couple hours have gone by. Therefore, if you want to avoid this distraction, consider deactivating your account while you are prepping for the exam. You can do this just until you are finished with your exams. With positive success rates of this working it may be worth a try!
