A career in nursing is a promising one. Other than status, there is also the aspect of a handsome salary package in terms of base pay and bonuses. A BSN degree, therefore, opens doors for a lot more opportunities especially in advancing to higher levels of the nursing niche.
With the number of people pursuing bachelor’s degree in nursing, it is quite easy to see the kind of influence that this has on people. However, that does not mean that it is necessary to have a baccalaureate degree to become a nurse.
In 2014, statistics shows the salary for an entry-level nurse ranged from $39,930-$69,985. However, the median salary for a nurse who had a BSN was a bit higher with the figure falling at $57,759.
