Nursing is a tough and often thankless job. Nurses must deal with patients, families, emergencies, and anything else that comes up while on shift. They are almost as knowledgeable as doctors but are in direct contact with patients daily. That means they have to do what they do with a smile on their face and lots of tacts.

In 1887, nurses were also necessary for any hospital setting and had to care for a staggering amount of patients. 50 patients for 1 nurse is challenging enough. However, on top of learning how to care for people, and taking care of patients, nurses had to follow these 9 essential nursing rules.
